About

Hi, I’m Mar Rads, graphic designer, dog walker, phone call maker, and apparently one of the last humans who still writes her own emails.

My mission with this site is simple: I want to reach the non-techy women out there who deserve to understand what’s being done to them. Because make no mistake, they are stealing what is not theirs. Our privacy. Our data. Our digital lives. And they are selling it for their own gain, or using it for things far more nefarious than we’d like to imagine.

I believe everyone, every age, every background, has the right to be protected from tech giants who treat us like a product instead of a person. This isn’t a tech issue. It’s a human rights issue.

Between all of this, I make plenty of time to do human things. I talk on the phone. I walk my dogs. I clean my house. I love people, truly, although I love animals just a little bit more, which is exactly why you’ll find an ethical shopping page here too. Because the way we spend our money is one of the most powerful tools we have. Use it well.

My mission

Privacy is not an individual project. We are all connected through our contacts, calendars, social media, photo shares, and so much more. Tech companies collect and connect our data like pieces of a perfect puzzle, building a picture of not just who we are but everyone around us.

The only way for any of us to have real privacy is for all of us to pursue it together. That is why this site exists. I am not here to scare you or overwhelm you. I am here to make it simple, one step at a time. It is a group project, and I need your support.

Use of AI

All of the content on this site was generated with the help of AI — including research, writing, and sourcing. But every idea, every value, and the entire vision behind this site comes from a real human being. The AI was guided, shaped, and directed by human intelligence to bring that vision to life exactly as intended.

Think of it like a very capable collaborator: it can write, research, and synthesize information from sources — but it doesn’t have opinions, a mission, or a reason to care about your privacy. That part is entirely human.

This site used Claude, Anthropic’s AI assistant, to help create and refine its content.

One more thing worth saying: every product, tool, and service recommended on this site is something I personally use. These are not affiliate suggestions pulled from a list — they are the actual things I rely on to protect my own privacy.
